If the games are good then fine thats all that matters. Still, watching this as a non fan its a bit annoying seeing what you guys are conformed with from a company that has the means to do so much more. But I guess if you like it like that then more power to you.

Regardless limits still exist and the fact people harp on trees is still fucking stupid as you can find wonky textures in a number of games and argubly GF as a company hasnt done too much in terms of this kind of game prior to S/M

After how much normal Pokemon stuff they cut out of Sword/Shield I don't even want to know how little they'd be able to do with a Pokemon game that aimed for good graphics. They'd probably have time for like, 5 gyms, and you could fight the Elite Two as soon as you finished exploring all eight routes and six towns. The graphics are the least of my concerns at this point.

I would love to see a new Pokemon game without the genies.

Honestly Scarlet/Violet look okay. They're not the best, but they don't look like upscaled 3DS games anymore like Sword/Shield and Legends Arceus did. Like holy shit Arceus was fucking awful-looking.

The reason I brought it up in the first place was because its quality control. That's all. When everything is medium-high detail but you have something as low detail as this, it just looks out of place. And its not like its a difficult fix. Open up the object file, re-apply the image map, and adjust it and its done. Still doesn't fix the gameplay issues, but its one less thing to worry about.
