everyone was all about game 7 of the NBA eastern conference finals

If you watched WWF in the 90s then you have seen AEW matches already.

It was their worst PPV, and this is coming from a big fan. If they keep focusing on all the WWE/NXT refugees, Im going to just stop watching altogether.

I shouldnt be watching wrestling to begin with, considering how much people make fun of it and its fans.

I watched both the PPV and the game.

It's wrestling. How much of this shit can someone watch before it's all just the same thing over and over again. There needs to be drastically less wrestling. And I say this as someone used to follow it..

Pretty much. It's either stupid, goofy, and boring (WWE) or way too interested in catering to just the hardcore smark crowd which means it can also be stupid and goofy (AEW and basically everywhere else). It's way too self referential and parodies itself too much which means you can't really take it seriously when they try to be serious.

AEW is trash

Yikes. Yeah, wrestling isnt wrestling. Its a show that some enjoy. An amalgamation of imagination and innovation thats pretty unique on what you could watch. That being said... i havent got back into wrestling. Just not in my interests but i like watching clips if its recommended just to wonder how wrestling is going these days.

Dang that sucks that theyre giving time to the ex-wwe folks. What made aew well received was because they werent wwe.

At the end of the day, they're Wrestlers who want a job, if they can bring recognition to AEW, I don't see what's so bad bout it.

I think what people want is for AEW to craft their own "AJ Styles". Someone whose TV presence is firmly an AEW product and not imported from a rival promotion. They cut their teeth in AEW and became a main eventer specifically because of their AEW work.

You do realize that AJ Styles made his name in TNA, right?

The fact that you assume I'm only familiar with Styles because of WWE speaks more about you than me.

Styles was a nobody before he came to TNA. He had a short gig in the dying days of WCW then never got picked up by WWE. But TNA built the X Division around him and it made him the Phenomenal AJ Styles. Bobby Roode is another such example, even if his importance to TNA was considerably shorter than Styles.
