Literally, the only solution is banning of private gun ownership

But that wont happen, so this country wont do anything.

Drones in every school

Make the tops of desks into bullet proof shields that can detach. Then train all students in various shield formations.

A full gun ban which would never happen sadly. But other ideas:

Raise the age limit of purchasing guns to 21. Eventually it should be 25.

Juvenile records should be unsealed during background checks when purchasing guns

Crack down harder on bullying in schools.

Honestly, both the Democrat and Republican suggestions.

Hiring army veterans as armed security and making semi-automatic weaponry illegal to own. The bad guys already have guns. Wishing guns away won't do anything unless you have Aladdin's lamp. We have to be prepared to fight those who are already armed.

But we should be keeping semi-automatics out of the hands of future killers.

Option #3 Homeschool your kids

At the very least, they should restrict semi-automatic ownership to individuals who have proven themselves responsible gun owners -- by going ten years without incident. That would mean a person would have to be at least 28 to own a semi-automatic.

Since most of the people who own guns to feel tough are middle-aged anyway, they might like seeing the young folks have to prove themselves. "Yes, sir. You have to be a grown man to own this gun." (Or woman. But I imagine most people who think this way would forget that part.)

specifically school shootings? take note of troubled individuals. everyone who has done this has had a long list of red flags leading up to it including already having the police called on them for domestic problems, shown signs of animal abuse/torture, self harm and actual threats of violence.
