Scientists recently rejuvenated old mice using injections containing brain fluid sourced from younger mice. According to a new study that was published in the journal Nature, memory problems associated with old age (in mice) can be reversed by taking cerebrospinal fluid from young mice. The study essentially examined the link between memory and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), the composition of which changes with age

I thought that was a fad from rich tech bros with no real scientific backing. It's been a while since I heard about it, though, so I'd love to hear if there were any good studies on it.

How much young mice brain fluid would a human need to have a benefit in cognitive function? Each mouse has a very tiny brain so prob need to farm a few thousand of them at least. That said they breed very quickly so shouldnt be hard to maintain.

Why is this even a study though

As summon who has had surgery with post op involving possible leakage of cerebrospinal fluid, it is not easy or safe to get from a living human.

We must know.

Should be able to whip up a synthetic version in a couple decades that is half as good at any rate.

I was pretty sure everyone was thinking they would use human brain fluid, but you are correct. They did heart transplant with pig heart that had been treated to remove the marks that cause rejection. They could realistically do the same for spinal fluid and blood.
