Is anyone else just kinda tired of stranger things? I feel like its kinda predictable and formulaic now.

Is anyone else just kinda tired of stranger things? I feel like its kinda predictable and formulaic now.

Not really. I got into it late, so I never got swept up in the initial hype. I've found all seasons thus far to be enjoyable in their own ways. The number-one thing that will get me to stick with a show is if I like and get invested in the core cast of characters, and that applies in this case; in particular I was a huge fan of Steve Harrington's character arc, and that's built up enough goodwill to carry me through the occasional lull.

Many years ago I thought the movie Super 8 sounded like a fun premise - a love letter to early Spielberg movies by mixing the fun sci-fi kid's adventure of E.T. with the creature horror of Jaws - but the execution fell flat. I very much appreciated that Stranger Things came along and delivered on that general premise, and while I've certainly never considered it the greatest show evar, it has yet to disappoint.

The evil this time is like a mixture of Freddy Kruger and Jeepers Creepers.

The actor who did the "Big Bad" this season was actually Robert Englund (Played Freddy)

Overall I mostly enjoyed the seasons episodes they put out. The bullying thing in the beginning kind of dragged on and on and I feel like while the last few episodes progress the storyline of Eleven a little bit it just drags on.

It's been a while since I've watched the previous seasons but I feel like every season a main plot point for Nancy is "who will she date now" and it kind of gets old.

I hope they finish it up with this season or if they have to, one more.

I do have one question I'm realizing I have now about the orderly character. This question contains spoilers.
I didn't pay attention and I should have but, do we only seem him when Eleven is in the machine that let's her see memories or whatever? I just realized now that if she sent him to the Upside Down when she was younger he probably wouldn't be walking around and talking to her in present time. Like, homeboy isn't in a second body and is walking around the compound right?

Correct, so far their only interaction has been in the machine.

only 2 episodes left and damn, its a great season so far! definitely one of my favs!

loving the new characters btw, specially Eddie and Argyle. Lol

Eddie's pretty great and Argyle definitely grew on me, especially when it became clear that the writers were struggling to keep Mike, Will, and Jonathan relevant (remember when Mike was supposed to be the main character of the show, lol?); Argyle quickly became the only character worth watching in that particular plotline.

I feel like I'm the only one that liked the California storyline lol

The one that dragged on to me was the Hopper one.
