Because we allowed our country to be flooded with millions and millions of guns.

They have very little guns and don't worship guns as gods there.

2nd Amendment should be taken away, it's a relic of a time when it actually served its purpose but those days are long over.

Because we have arcaic standards/laws that didn't advance with technology and human understanding

Japan has a very strict no gun law. Cant speak for other countries. Only time i saw a gun when i lived in japan was on base.

From what I've gleamed from republicans it's because the rest of the world believes in god more, has no mental illness kr evil people, and has no news media what so ever.

I mean, I think that's pretty logical really.

You can have freedom and gun ownership but it should no longer be a right. As I said above, the second amendment is a relic of days long gone. Its purpose was served and it's not realistic in today's world.

Gun ownership should be a privilege you have to earn and keep earning every year or so just like every other license we have in this backwards country. By earn I don't mean sign a paper and pay some fee but you should have to really earn it, take mental health exams, take responsible gun ownership and handling classes with proof of successful completion. Sad that this simple logic seems like fantasy.

1) We have way too many guns
2) We have way too many crazy, violent males

Bad combination. Other countries have things people can use to kill, but their population doesn't seem to breed murderous psychos at the rate that US does. There's something deeply wrong with the environment and upbringing that is causing this violence.

That sounds like the NRA and, by extension, most politicians would make less money, so it's not gonna happen

The root of the problem is our culture. Divided and confused, sick, mentally ill people not finding help. Drugs that turn us into zombies.

Our culture is selfish and violent. Everyone has a group they hate. We must understand, horrible crimes would still be committed here even without guns. Banning guns is a bandage to a wound far too deep.

The ridiculous media coverage and news "special reports" do nothing but incite more violence from the insane. That doesn't help at all. It just gives them a bigger stage. Listen to crime podcasts or interviews with psychologists. They are begging our national media to stop drawing attention to these crimes.

All this gun lobby talk means nothing if we don't get to the root of the problem;

our culture is sick and it's time to wake up.
