I grew up believing a fresh haircut couldn't look good and had to grow in for about a week before it looked natural.

Guess what, I grew up, got a big boy job, and paid for a real barber and now my hair looks fly on day 1.

I know I'm not the only person who believed this myth, bc it was a pretty commonly spoken about thing back in the day. Guys would get their hair cut a week before prom or whatever to give it time

I've never heard of that being a thing.

But yes, if your hair looks shit immediately after it's been cut, the person cutting it is not very good.

I have only when someone cuts your hair wrong in which case TC is right. This doesn't really need to be said though

or you just can't afford getting a haircut everything 3 weeks and purposely get it cut shorter than optimal so it takes more time before you need to get it cut again
