They are pouring most efforts into supporting DotA 2 and CSGO. It's not accurate to say they're not making games, they're just not making NEW games (Alyx excluded).

So like DotA Underlords from the same year and Artifact from 2018?

Yeah, Valve makes a fair number of them too. The just don't make it a yearly thing and mostly make games based around players sticking around a long time.

DotA underlords is a dead game. Haven't had any updates for the whole year until recently.

I take it back, the last update was on 1/2021.

Half Life 2 is a dead game and we are perfectly fine acting like Valve made it as well.

The existence of Valve being the maker doesn't mean that bad games don't exist.

The writer of Portal and Portal 2 recently said that he wants to start working on a third one so maybe someone at Valve will listen to him and produce it
