He got the crossbow from Himeko, the antidote from someone to cure himself, and went to town on Kokichi, who probably died before he had time to summon the exisal to protect himself. Kaito then flushed away Kokichi's clothes and crushed him; since he was no longer living the press safety didn't kick in. What this theory doesn't explain is the crossbow bolt in Kaito's jacket. Nor does it explain Kaito's current whereabouts. Perhaps a second person came in with the exisal and attacked Kaito, killing him too. Both were then crushed. If this is the case, then that would have occured before the press was activated and this second person would have used the crossbow too for some reason. And it would necessarily be Maki, since only she and Kaito had "crossbow training". Shuichi has crossbow training too, but I don't see the game pulling a Kubishime Romanticist twice. Though I do feel that I'm not investing as much time per day in this as I was in DR2, probably as a way to avoid that happening The last time I played two games in a series back to back, it was the (good) Deus Ex sequels and I ended up putting the second half of Mankind Divided on the back burner for pretty much a whole year. I feel like youre going through V3 about as quickly as you did with 2, and V3 trials felt like they were decently longer than the trials in the first two games to me. I thought, fairly early on they establish that Monokuma doesn't know the perpetrated and I felt like they insinuated if nothing else that that should be played to the ultimate's advantage in his game and then... they just don't. Shuichi keeps on cracking the case expertly. Until the last 3 minutes when it's too late and he goes "oh shit I shouldn't have done that" It's very... weird. Honestly I think it could have been much more interesting. It feels confusing and bizarre, which takes significantly away from the successes of the case in other aspects. It could have been a strong contender to 2-5 as best case, but they just bungle the hell out of it to the point of frustration. Well, you start over from your last checkpoint It was kind of dumb, tbh Maybe they should have done something else instead of the time limit. I made sure to look at everything, and talk to everyone (multiple times) to see everything. Theres a very funny conversation if you keep talking to people ~~in the library before you go into the secret room.
