Do most Americans just not align with the Democratic ideals?

Republicans are good at messaging and blaming and their dumb dumb voters believe everything they say. All the world's problems are Joe Biden's fault.

Dems are spineless and don't push back on this. And also they don't vote during the mid-terms.

Something about gas prices, and anger at Joe Biden I hear, I fear a GOP win.

Too many Americans are just stupid and easily tricked into voting against their own self interests.

Americans have the memory of goldfish and attribute the current inflation and economic downturn to Biden instead of Trump's grossly irresponsible abuse of fed interest rates during COVID-19 in order to prop up the stock market prior to the election.

Because the Democrats have done next to nothing.

The economy. The average American sees the prices of everything going up with no end in sight under a Democratic administration. And regardless of where the blame is, the average, uninformed voter is going to see Republicans at all levels of government off a solution and many will vote for them figuring it can't get any worse.

Democrats never getting anything accomplished is at least as much a Democrat problem as it is Republicans being obstructionist.

Democrats literally have an opportunity to codify Roe v Wade and bypass the SCOTUS before it rules, but they can't even do that.

If dems dont win its because not enough people voted. It took a strong campaign for people to vote out Trump and get the democrats ahead. Some were by a landslide so it really just depends on how many people vote this time.

Most of the moderates and/or independents in question likely aren't watching the news at all, but they are seeing the price at the pump increase, the price of groceries increase, etc, and many of those people, even if they symapthize with the left on a lot of positions are literally going to vote with their wallet.

B) Inflation is eating away at people's savings and decreasing their standard of living.

C) Shortages, gas costs, etc.

D) World events (Afghanistan, Ukraine)

And there is widening concern outside of just the Republican base on issues such as Illegal immigration, public education, gender/sex ideology, etc.

If you can't see why Republicans could win historic numbers of seats this cycle you probably don't live in America.

So basically, education is a mixed bag, looking at the 2019 grade 8 math results at least.

The wealthiest blue state in the country, California, has an underperforming education system.

Texas and Florida are doing pretty well.

The poor red states are awful, but I think everyone knew that. And Ohio is surprising, wouldn't have guessed Ohio performed as well as it does.

I think if there is one thing we can all agree on it's that our public education system underwhelms for a variety of reasons and needs improvement.

"Vote me in instead" is about the length of the Republican solution, especially since doing anything would violate their "free market" facade.

I would love to hear the Republican solution to inflation. I imagine it involves cutting wages, and less regulation and taxes on corporations. Because they seem to believe the poor big businesses would be able to keep prices down if not for mean old government making them jump through hoops. Let's just ignore that the government and both parties are run by those companies.

Democrats couldn't even come together to pass a bill through reconciliation last year. Voters don't believe what you are saying, and it's going to show in November elections.
