There's anecdotal evidence supposing it might have a slight link to Alzheimer's and rumors it might cause cancer, but nothing need up by real scientific study.

Beyond that though, the aluminum is used to plug your pores up so you don't sweat, so a lot of people avoid it and use regular deodorant, since you're actively preventing preventing part of your body from doing its job. Whether you agree with that is a matter of personal preference though \_()_/
