Think about this, we can't talk about marijuana because it's not legal on a federal level. Ergo when Roe is struck down and abortion becomes outlawed in many states GameFAQs may mod pro-abortion opinions the same way.

Actually, there *was* a period of time back in the day when you not only couldn't talk about gay marriage, you couldn't talk about gays *at all*. The words "gay" and "lesbian" were even auto-modded. (IE: You could not include the words in your post, they had to be censored first.)

The whole "stop people from using it as an insult" was maybe 30% of the reason, most people I saw get modded for it (myself included) was just from generally speaking on the subject.

Hell, one of my I earliest warnings was merely for stating I was bisexual.
