I mean, I got the obvious stuff down -- clothes, toothbrush, things I'm taking with me, etc.
I want to know what I should expect in terms of navigating the airport and stuff like that. I have never flown before and I'm pretty nervous. A friend of mine told me to pack light, otherwise TSA will hassle me. Stuff like that.

You may want to bring some gum. I haven't flown in years but I used to chew gum during takeoff and landing. The pressure change can sometimes make your ears hurt. Chewing gum can help

I dont know if this is a problem for everyone but it often was for me.

Passport if leaving the country. If you're flying over an ocean it's gonna be like 12 hours so being some shit to keep yourself entertained. A lot of the more modern planes have built in monitors to each seat with free movies, which is cool.

I'm taking a couple of books and my laptop. Ultimately, the plan is to fall asleep.

These days you can check in and receive your boarding pass electronically 24 hours before your flight. Doing this can save you lots of time at the airport but if you are checking bags you will still need to go to the airline counter before going through security.

Bring a pen with you to fill out custom forms that you may receive on the flight before you land, this will also save you some time when you arrive in a new country.

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. The next three days, I'll be going to meetings with the group that I'm suppose to be traveling with. Hopefully they bring up stuff like this.
