For those who have seen it, are there any jump scares in the movie? It is a Sam Raimi movie after all.

Gonna see it tomorrow night but I'm not big on jump scares >_> would be good to know ahead of time if there are any so I can mentally prepare, no spoilers though please.

there are two literal fucken jumpscares. the first got me, because that shit is terrible in theatres and I was NOT expecting it from a marvel kid movie. the second got my mrs but not me.
the atmosphere is pretty obvious, horror is fuck, just brace yourself twice I guess.

lol, im probably making this worse. its not spoilers to say Wanda is in the movie, cuz shes in all the trailers. Lets just say both are related to her kit.

The jump scares aren't so terrible. I was worried as well but while its considered horror, I'd hardly call it that.

I think they are in the second act. Not terrible though.

They were definitely there, but I honestly didnt think they were too bad.

However, the scene where Scarlet Witch was trying to take control of other Wanda had my heart pounding out of my chest with anxiety, because I thought there was gonna be a jump scare there at any point. I was freaking out waiting for it to happen, but it didnt lol

What did you think of the movie?

The jump scares are tame, I wouldn't really call this a horror flick. But there are scenes in this movie that push the PG-13 rating.

I liked it overall, but I was slightly disappointed. Most people I talked to about it said the same thing I felt, that our expectations were just a bit too high.

For a title saying "in the Multiverse of Madness", I felt like it didn't utilize the multiverse too much. I was hoping that would be the biggest focus of the movie, but it was more on Wanda herself and her witchcraft. I didn't think was a bad thing, but it should've been called "Doctor Strange & the Madness of the Scarlet Witch" or something like that. My expectations for the movie's content would have been much better if so.

I did like pretty much everything else though, loved how dark they went with pushing the boundaries of a PG-13 movie and the horror vibe (although I probably wouldn't say it's a full on horror movie). Raimi was a great choice of director here, movie gave me lots of Evil Dead 2 vibes.
