I got it because you can change John Sekiro into a big boob ninja with mods, but I didn't like how the two art styles didn't blend with the replaced character model so I'm just playing it vanilla. And I SUCK

dont be afraid to use abilities in boss fights, some are OPd. and some are even boss weaknesses

Seriously though get Mikiri Counter ASAP. It's located in one of the skill trees and it's pretty nice.

When an enemy parries you, immediately hit the block button, 99 percent of the time you'll parry their attack back. Also seconded on the get mikiri counter ASAP advice. And dashing isn't really as important compared to blocking in this game, there's very little invincibility frames on the dodge so don't go around trying to dash thru attacks like a soulsborne game.

There aren't many games better than Sekiro

Mikiri counter lets you counter the unblockable(perilous? I forgot what the game calls them but the moves with a red kanji symbol) thrusting attacks by dodging into them.

It's literally ok just to spam parry at times.

Also firecracker is super good.

John Sekiro has a cool character design, good thing you didn't switch with some dude's hentai mod.

All you need to do to succeed at the game is git gud at deflecting.

Something just didn't click for me with Sekiro.
Just couldn't do it.

Parry or die, I never parried in other Souls games, learned quickly that that wasn't going to fly
