like once you're all done with the MSQ, what do folks do with their time in the game?

also what are Ultimates? are those like Mythic Raids in WoW? how hard are they?

The new ultimate just got cleared but seems to be pretty freaking brutal.

Savage raids are pretty challenging and extreme raids have a good balance in difficulty.

I'll rate it like this in terms of difficulty:

Ultimate > Savage > Unreal > Extreme > 24 man raids.

You also have a few 52 man raids which can get really punishing if you dont have a group that's prepared for it.

I cant really compare it to WoW since I dont play it but I've heard FFXIV is more based on skills than gear checks.

Also other endgames:

Fishing, Housing, glamour, crafting, gathering.

Pvp just got the best update it has gotten in history. I've literally been just playing that now ever since it came out. So freaking addictive.

Also there is submarine and airship missions.

And then theres huge zones like Eureka and Bozja you can dive into. Bozja feels like a warzone where you actually duel bosses one on one in some instances where whole audiences of players watch you.

And theres the ishgardian restoration project and fishing expeditions.

skills like how well you know your rotation?

or not standing in bad lol. a lot of bosses are like that i found, and yeah. its interesting. though sometimes i get frustrated because ill step out of an aoe attack but see it still tick damage. i shouldn't have lag cuz iirc the servers are like, 50 miles from me. but they put no way of seeing your ping...

Rotation, optimals, knowing the fight and boss moves.

Most endgame contents dont even have Aoe indicators. You need to watch the boss and move in tandem with other party members. Because some trials have a smaller party than WoW, you need to pull your weight more. If you mess up it effects the whole team more.
