Yes, it was easily that game's strongest point. Although the Grandia series did that kind of system better IMO (apart from the lack of class changing). --- There is no Trumble. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't think I made it very far into the game. Like maybe just to the point of random encounters. Certainly not a boss fight. But from what I saw, I didn't like it. But to be fair, holding down X works in the majority of FF games. X-2 had the best ATB system in the series if you don't include Record Keeper (which is fair). That said I'd still put X's system over it. I like more tactical systems so I prefer turn-based with a heavy emphasis on ability speed. --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome? Thweeet!"
