Which one?


Traditional taco: Meat, cilantro, onion, green/red salsa, usually on a corn tortilla

American (Taco Bell for example): Ground beef, lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream, usually on a hard shell tortilla

A coworker of mine and myself wanted tacos for lunch yesterday. I wanted to go to this local spot ran by a Mexican family but he kept on insisting on Taco Bell. He said the authentic style was bland and had no flavor and I said what he wanted was basically a Mexican version of a hot dog. Who was right?

In many Latin American countries, the actual food eaten is actually much simpler and less showy than what you see in "Hispanic" restaurants in the US. Like when I go back to my country in Central America, no one there really eats tacos unless they visit a Taco Bell down there.

With that said, I don't really like tacos of any kind. I prefer baleadas.

soft >>>>> hard

cilantro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lettuce

only thing american has going for it is cream and cheese but the salsa makes up for it

not a hard choice

tacos are easily TBs worst food
