Yes and Shesterkin is so much better than both Smith and Kuemper it's laughable. I don't know how you can look at how Smith played vs Calgary or Kuemper played vs St Louis and make that statement, regardless of the offensive capabilities of Edmonton and Colorado.

Not to mention I think there may be merit in wondering how long Smith is going to hold up for. They already gave up over 37 shots per game to both the Kings and Flames (and actually were outshot in both series!) and now they face Colorado? Hahahahaha

Oh I fully expect Tampa to still win this series, I'm just saying that if I had to pick 1 team to finally beat them it'd be NYR this round, simply because I think it's more likely they lose a series where they get goalie'd than they lose a series that turns into a shootout.

Oh, I'll take that as you've never refereed an ice hockey game, but as a typical armchair quarterback, you think you could a better job..... those refs down on the ice have a whole different perspective of the game than you do, and they don't have the luxury of a widescreen TV to help them see everything. Their eyes are mostly focused on where the puck is, not who's doing what. Of course there'll be missed calls, they're only human after all. But if you think you do a better job, then by all means, go be an NHL ref and tell us how easy it is to get every call right.

The thing is Colorado isn't Calgary or LA. You can't just "video study" your way out of goals like the one MacKinnon scored or the fact their top defenseman is literally an elite-level sniper.

And hell Game 2 in that series was still controlled by Calgary, but they blew it by being -1 on 4 power play chances in the 3rd period. Edmonton handing Colorado 4 PPs in a single game, let alone a single period, would be absolutely disastrous.

3-2 on 37 shots halfway though the game, just what we all expected.

Yeah, they all shat the bed. If it's not the death scoring, it's the first line not producing.

Hopefully, they learn soon that it's a team game.
