As soon as you take the money, all video games globally are put under an extremely harsh set of content guidelines, which disallows heavy violence, blood and gore, sex and suggestive themes, foul language, depictions of and references to drugs and alcohol, etc. Basically, anything that does not fit into the ESRB E rating or regional equivalent (NOT E10+; E) is no longer allowed. Additionally, all games made before that violate those guidelines will no longer be playable, period; and it's up to their respective publishers to release modified versions of those games if they still wish to sell them. Modders and people who made freeware games who try to violate those guidelines are subject to heavy fines and/or imprisonment. ... ...Deal or no deal? --- I often wonder if we are growing as a people... or in fact, regressing. ...
