I remember once I did the "and then they woke up/it was all a dream" once for a story in English class. But to "go against the trope" I had it so it wasn't actually a dream and they just woke back to whatever horror it was they thought they'd dreamt. I ended an abecedarian poem (first word of each line starts with the next sequential letter of the alphabet) and the last part was something like Blah blah in case you're Wondering how I know of his fate, it's because it was Xeroxed into my mind for You see, I'm him only also a Zombie Bam, plot twist. I once had an english assignment where there was only one requirement. Had to be 10000+ words. No other rules or criteria. I took every possible liberty I could think to take including spamming the same word, changing the entire story, etc. I approached it like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbs. --- Always check timestamps... ...
