Not a good one.

Not every reason equates to, "I want everyone who isn't a straight White male to suffer." But you find stuff like general ignorance and paranoia about what "the liberals" intend to do to society.

They are passing actual laws by scaring their voters with "If we don't take them down first, they'll probably do worse to us eventually!"

So they'll harm LGBTQ people because they view that as a blow to the pets of the Democrats, which will prevent them from taking their guns or sexualizing the children or whatever made-up horseshit.

Frankly the crazy thing to me is that you can go onto most every standard Republican "news" source and they will legit act like those are stances that the Democrats have. There are plenty of crappy things that the Democrats do but the entire idea of actually having any level of complaint is so far gone from the Republican side that the only thing that exists for them is some sort of weird Uno "no u" to their own talking points.

There are always people who are ignorant to a fault without being directly malicious in their intent. It's like they say of history. Some people voted for Hitler because of his antisemitism, others thought it was just rhetoric. (It's never just rhetoric. When someone speaks hate, they mean it. We saw this on a smaller scale when Trump blamed Latinos for America's problems and proceeded to break up families.)

I'm not saying there are good reasons to vote Republican. I'm saying that not every Republican voter is a fascist with full awareness of everything going on. Democrat vs Republican, on a voter level, is more about education vs ignorance than it is a battle of good vs evil. Yes, the politicians suppressing rights are evil. But you get ignorant people voting for them because they think, "The liberals want to take our guns," "Biden is a pedophile," or "Democrats want a welfare state."

The only way that one can say that Republican voters are evil to a person is to define a good person as one who is educated.

To be clear, prior to the republican set of policies known as "trickle down economics" wealth relative to cost of living had grown at a similar pace for everyone. And then that happened.

So again, why in the world would someone who isn't already rich vote for a republican on an economic basis

They do everyday. How do you think Trump happened? He was shocked at winning too. The average American spoke. If democrats dont get their heads out of their hindquarters, the mid term elections are gonna be a blood bath.

I'm not concerned itt with what is happening. The question asked was to find one GOOD reason for voting republican to which you responded that they don't want to be broke. Clearly it's not a good reason as it's caused pretty much the exact opposite for the average voter.
