i was typing out what i already have on my shelf but it was getting long and unruly and frankly looked very tryhard >_>

generally if it's something assigned in undergrad you can assume i read it or something similar to it, i'm more interested in cool one-off books with lots to play around with like Crafting Interpreters and Impractical Python Projects

Learn Solidity and contribute to the 4th industrial revolution. I hear the Mastering Ethereum book is pretty solid. And it's open source.

There's a hackathon run by Chainlink that started just today.

Why not see what the Web3 space is up to? I've linked above at the timestamp of where the CEO gives his talk about the overarching goal of Web3; basically transform business interactions in a revolutionary manner, the way the internet has done for information. Web3 aims to create a world where people are more reliable and will commit to their agreements without the risk of the counterparty failing to uphold their end of the deal.

If you have the time, what not take a gander in this space? There are companies that have been created and have gotten funding from these kinds of events. And the ideas some folks have conjured are downright incredible.

So I'm going to counter with a question of a book to what end?
Other than people looking for a job and getting Cracking the Coding Interview to supplement leetcode, or a new hire at least getting through the basics of Clean Code. Past that I wouldn't really suggest anything unless you are just bored or are working in a specific industry that have good books associated with them, but even then I'd often prefer a little time on Google to just a single viewpoint on something.

If you want to further your career, I would suggest finding ways to work on solution design and coding for change, as often the two biggest things the big companies are going to care about are time to market and time to change and these are some of the things I find junior devs have often completely missed the boat on.
