It'd be hard not to get as violently angry as he did. Yes, Cal was completely justified. The movie shows everything from Jack and Rose's perspective. Rewatch it from the POV of Cal, and it's a vicious betrayal! Yeah, he went a bit overboard at times, but his reactions were understandable for the most part. Eh, I don't really think so. He was arrogant and dismissive of Rose's feelings so her cheating on him is partly his fault. No, not at all. Cal was an absolute D-bag. He deserved to go down with the ship. Jack should've tried climbing on from the other side in order to keep it balanced. They also showed that multiple tries were needed to balance it right but once you got it balanced you would be fine for a long time.
