So clueless batman goes to interview riddler and the riddlers like "What do you think of my bombs flooding the city and my ONLINE VENGEANCE RIDDLER GANG. They just use guns!"

And batmans like "What!? Arggh!"

And then the mayors like "Everyones afraid to stand up and do the right thing!" and IMMEDIATELY gets shot.

Oh and Alfred and Batman are BOMB PROOF. As in they take BOMBS TO THE FACE and shrug them off. The Riddler literally kills many times and Gotham just throws him in a cell within talking distance of the Joker.

Batman shouldn't have been tanking all those gun shots tbh. Dude got blasted by a shotgun and he was fine 30 seconds after.

I'm ok with this, but I wish they would have explained what exactly he was wearing that could withstand all that gunfire.

He took a bomb blast to the face with his mouth uncovered. C4 just put Alfred in the hospital.

The scenes with batman literally at the crime scenes seemed stupid cause the cops are literally like "wtf?"

Its one thing to work in the shadows with gordon but just having the literal vigilante walk the crime scene with gordon while other cops, plenty corrupted, complain at him being there is weird.

I liked the movie overall, but there were several things that rubbed me the wrong way

Batman just casually walking around amongst all the cops, despite being a wanted vigilante. Even the commissioner is like Dude, Gordon no. But instead of demanding something be done about Batman, the commish just tells him to leave.

Batmans debut has him just walk out of the shadows, approach a gang, and starting a 10-on-1 fist fight. No sneak attack, no attacking from the shadows to cause confusion he just slowly walks out and starts throwing punches.

The last part of Riddlers plan: surrender himself for arrest and let some randos from an online community finish his plan by just attacking with shotguns. No hunt for Batman to catch him. No final battle between them. Just Im gonna chill in jail, here are some henchmen. He had no logical reason to allow himself to be caught.

Bruce Wayne was a high school emo kid. Also, he pretty much immediately accepts Riddler & Falcone telling him that his father was a scumbag.

But there was still no need to get captured. He could have just tricked Batman into going somewhere and met him there. Riddler was depicted as being a good deal smarter than Batman in this movie. He was basically manipulating him throughout the movie, and could have done it again.

There was probably a really good 2 hour long movie in that terribly boring 3 hour long drag.

batman was stupid as hell. Penguin and riddler were the only redeeming things, and not enough to make it even a B- movie.

To be fair them being corrupt might actually be part of the reason they dont.

They dont give a fuck cuz they are corrupt. Why get their skull bashed in by the crazy guy who bullets barely phase? It is still kinda silly but at least there is continuous tension over it until shit really hits the fan and they have better things to worry about.

As for the bombs batman has armor that let him soak up tons of small arms and even shotgun blasts. He still was knocked out. Alfred threw the letter bomb so it didnt blow up directly on him. A letter bomb by design cant be particularly powerful so that saved him.

They couldve trimmed things a bit here and there definitely though.

i found riddler to be the worst part of the movie by far tbh. Hes prob my favorite rogue though so Im guessing thats why.

I meant the actor, not the character. Paul Dano did amazing for what he was given.
