You may scoff at me saying that, thinking its always been that way, but not to me. I've always enjoyed big hyped AAA releases. Even when people have bitched about stuff I've always enjoyed them. Like even Assassins Creed in Paris was great to me, despite all the bugs. It was still what I was expecting. Then Anthem happened. Then Cyberpunk happened. Then Battlefield 2042 happened. Just shocking bad games in every aspect, coming from once beloved developers. I still will enjoy big hyped games by other companies that haven't shit the bed yet. Rockstar, Naughty Dog, etc. But I'm going by reputation more than ever now. I'm never going to buy a game on release date by Bioware, CD Project Red or Dice ever again. It might be the most shocking fall from grace ever in video game history imo, maybe tied with Cyberpunk, which was literally removed from the PS store, remember. One thing we got out of it is what I call the "Battlefield Test". When you read a review from a journalist, go look at how they rated Battlefield 2042. If it was positive, then you know they were paid and can't be trusted, or they simply have no backbone.
