I got one back when i was 15 and thought it would be good because of the brand. It wasnt. I don't think I would personally want to try it myself though. I don't do well when it comes to hot temperatures and I would likely carelessly burn myself a lot. There are a lot of different kinds of steel and various techniques, like san mai and all kinds of damascus patterns. Is it awkward? What do you like about it and what don't you like about it? Do you like the weight on your knife? Do you like how it locks? Is it easy to open/close? I ended up loving the 3" blades. Any bigger and it starts to feel unwieldy. I would also go with something at least d2. But yeah, knifecenter and bladhq have lot of options you can sort by, price, length, material. I started out cheapies, and kept trying stuff until I found what I like. I lean towards spyderco, but, they are a bit pricey. Some of the lightweights are decent. What do you like about it and what don't you like about it? Do you like the weight on your knife? Do you like how it locks? Is it easy to open/close? I ended up loving the 3" blades. Any bigger and it starts to feel unwieldy. I would also go with something at least d2. But yeah, knifecenter and bladhq have lot of options you can sort by, price, length, material. I started out cheapies, and kept trying stuff until I found what I like. I lean towards spyderco, but, they are a bit pricey. Some of the lightweights are decent.
