Mom in law seems to think everyone wants them and that people who say they dont are in denial and change their tune when they finally have kids

Expensive and annoying

I don't have the emotional capacity to deal with someone I care about being hurt.

I tried to find a kid (ok he was 18 and she was 13 but still) at the school for threatening to put another kid's face on some nudes and say it was her cause her older sister wouldn't go out with him.

I'm too private and I don't have the patience to deal with them and I don't like the idea of having other people depend on me financially or otherwise.

There is literally not one appeal to having kids for me. Never has been.

I just don't want to get married and don't want to raise kids out of wedlock. Twice I''ve met women that have made me reconsider, If it happens again and we get married, fine.

chronically ill/disabled so i literally do not have the health or funds for a kid and also i already had my fill of parenthood from raising my cat from birth

I don't think you need a reason not to want them.

I think a big part of it for me is that I was living with my sister when her kids were born and growing up. As a result, I've kinda been through the child-raising process once, and I'm not particularly interested in doing it again.

I like to joke with my nieces that they ruined children for me, but it's honestly kind of true, lol.

I don't find the prospect interesting or beneficial, so I'm gonna pass.

I dont trust myself to be better than my parents were so I think its the only way to put an end to the generational trauma that Ive been burdened with.

Why tf would I want more of a drain on my already limited resources

I don't want any, and I can't think of a good reason to have any.

I'm sure that if I had a kid, my feelings would change, but it's something I'd rather avoid.

I like my free time and money >_> I'm not against changing my mind in the future, but I don't want to have kids simply because "I'm supposed to" or "to give me something to do" like I've seen other couples do

There are several things wrong here!

literally no reason to have kids.

I hate kids and hate sharing. Having a kid you are subjecting yourself to both those things in maximum amount non stop for at least the next 20 years. Sounds like a nightmare.

But I still like the idea of breeding women so I am in.

I don't have the time or the money to support a child. I can only handle myself.

I like not being broke or strapped down. I don't even want the responsibility of a pet anymore yet alone a human

I know those kinds of couples and they think having kids is like playing with a toy and that they can stop playing whenever they want.

I just don't see me being a good dad... Also it's weird to think about having children when I've never so much as been on a date...

I just don't want kids. I have no interest in having kids. I don't want the rest of my life taken away.

My mental and physical health arent great, so I dont want to pass that on to a kid, or have them bear the brunt of it. I wouldnt be able to lift a heavy baby/toddler without hurting myself, wouldnt be able to bend to pick things up or play. My mom was 39 when she had me and though she was healthy, our bonding was still watching soap operas and lifetime. Not learning to play sports, taking dance classes, going to theme parks, etc like my older siblings did.
also, when I can barely take care of myself some days, how am I going to put a kid through that? I already feel awful for my pets when they sometimes dont get the best care they deserve

Selfish with my time. I love my nieces and nephew.and the time we spend together. But I take them when I'm in the mood for them. I don't always have to stop what I'm doing or put my wants and desires on hold to take care of them. When I'm done with them for the day or they start acting like brats I can just take them home. You can't do that if they're your kids. Feeling grumpy? Too bad. You have kids to take care of. Sick and need to be in bed? Tough. You have kids to take care of. Tired and want to sleep in? Haha. You have kids that you need to get up and get ready for school. Etc. That shit just isn't for me. I don't have the patience for full time kids and I just never felt the need to have them. Nieces and nephews are plenty for me.

TLDR: Having kids always seemed like a burden to me. Not something I needed un my life.

I hate children. I do not wish to bring something I hate into my life in such a significant way.

i'm actually pretty open to the idea of having kids. but, just the idea.
the reality of it is two factors. one - i have very bad anxiety that i'll end up being a bad parent, or that the things that i *think* would make me a good parent (like parenting decisions) would backfire somehow.
two - looking at my dating history, i don't have a very good sense of what kind of girl is a good match for me with dating. and, if i have kids with someone, i want it to be someone i'd stay with throughout our lives (or at least til the kids are adults). so, i don't really trust myself well enough to make that sort of judgement when it comes to dating.

ok, i already posted. but this topic fits my moral dilemma of march 2021 (aka, last year - aka, the pregnancy scare (not really))

so, last march, i was working a basic retail job. anyway, my shift supervisor was a girl who was pregnant at the time (just a few months, not too chonky yet). she had a bf who got her pregnant, but they were broken up. anyway, long story short, we made out with our faces a few times. i quit after a few months (the job, not making out), and then we lost contact.
was it morally wrong? i wasn't "leading her on" as the kids call it or anything like that, was I? if my spit got into her mouth, and she swallowed the spit, does that mean that any nutrients in my spit went to her baby? does that mean that her baby is like .00001% me?

I have 8 living brothers and sisters (out of 11 siblings), and 18(?) nieces and nephews and a great-nephew and 3 great-nieces. I dont need any of my own.

I like that having nieces and nephews is like having a free trial/demo on raising kids

My wife and I decided before we ever even got married (this may will be 18 years of marriage) that neither of us wanted the responsibility of children. If we want to travel, we can travel, if want to quit our jobs we can, we can spend our time and our money however we choose.

I don't like children. I also live in a Republican state. The less people born here the better.

I want to live my life for myself and not sacrifice it away for some snot-nosed, crying, screaming thing. Whenever I hear a baby crying in a theater or kids screaming around in public, it never made me stop and think, "man, my life is so empty without that...".

Im too selfish of a person to begin with to even want or raise a child. Plus money. Plus overpopulation. Etc.

I only have the patience to be an Uncle. Im a good Uncle. But when my nieces stay over and the lil one immediately needs all my attention as soon as I wake up, it's like Im constantly being flicked in my brain and I mostly ignore her until Im ready for it like 2 hours later. Well, I do the necessity stuff. But I don't wanna have kids just to ignore them and I can only put up with kids like 25% of the time. If I had no breaks in-between, I think Id slowly lose it. Then again, I treat my dog like I can't go anywhere without him even when I know it's gonna make me have to sacrifice my own freedom. So, maybe Id adjust b

I have fairly severe clinical depression and, even worse, an anger disorder. Having had a parent with their own anger disorder, I've seen and felt firsthand what that can do to a family, and I don't want to potentially put a wife and kids through that.

Maybe if I get my mental issues sorted before I'm like 40, I'll consider it, but for right now, I'm not fit to be a father.

I don't care either way. I can do with or without.
