First off, his name was Ben. Second off, he gave his life to heal her. She didn't "let him die," she basically sacrificed herself standing up to Palpatine and Ben sacrificed himself in turn to let Rey survive.

It's funny that the kid with the mop at the end of TLJ opens up the universe more than the ending of TROS did. Even though it's the middle of the trilogy.

That was a really cool part of TLJ, building up the Jedi as legend. I wish they had had some more of it, even.
