Because Halo fanboys are just as dumb and blind as those other IPs communities. Same barebones shit, just not as bad however it had no chance of sustainability.

Yeah I have no idea how 343 couldn't at a minimum just put in the bare bones stuff that Halo 3 had. Or put in the Reach progression system, which was even better.

It is inexcusable that after 6 years of development this is the state the multiplayer is in, and they have been soooo slow to change anything about it. Even basic things like adding new playlists with existing game modes aren't being implemented yet. I am so curious to see what sort of product they would have had if they kept their original release date and didn't delay it for a year, hard to imagine it would be a bigger disaster than this lol

Needs more game modes and alot of new weapons. I went back to halo 5 after playing infinite for a month, halo 5 is just more fun to play in comparison. Infinite is to barebones right now but with added content it should propel itself back.

Is it me, or does 343 feel like it's run by "Bean Counters" and they deliberately used Halo 5 to test their F2P system.

Infinite's core gameplay is as good as it has ever been, but like every other aspect of the game sucks.

The net code sucks
The lack of maps is draining
The challenge system is both frustrating and encourages bad players
The ranking system makes no fucking sense
The rotations are garbage
Game modes are extremely limited
Communication is close to non-existant
New content is both weak and infrequent

The gameplay was great fun, but it had very limited maps and modes. With not enough new content.

Add on all the connection issues it suffered at the start, I can see why people dropped it. I quickly lost my interest in it as well.

I think the gameplay is actually some of the best weve seen in the series however lack of content is killing it. Hardly any maps. Shame because the Halo has had some of the best multiplayer maps out.

The campaign was fun for the most part but lack of coop gives no incentive to actually go back. Im not even going to go on about the plot as it seems every game this trilogy takes a completely different direction.

I thought it was going to be like the typical 343 game, because they all launch in a poor state. But they do get better eventually. I'm not sure about Infinite though. This is particularly bad.

It seems like the use of contractors to work on a large part of the game is one of the main issues, since presumably most of those people are no longer there.

It is 343s destiny to fuck up everything.

The table was set for them to benefit off of BF2077 and CoD failures greatly, but the higher ups got greedy.

All they had to do was copy Reach's progression with bits of other halos

Bungie wouldn't have done any better. They captured lightning in a bottle with Halo 1-3. There was never any chance of future games being as good as those ones. I loved Reach, but not everyone remembers it so fondly.

For all of its live service faults, destiny is actually a really fun game. If nothing else, Bungie still makes a good shooter.

I think nothing speaks to the sheer ineptitude of how 343 is handling this game and its "live service" more than the fact that Halo premiered a high-budget, highly-hyped TV show nine-years in the making and there was ZERO cross promotion in Infinite. Not even a half-assed week event with some shitty cosmetics. Nothing.

Like how is that even possible? How did they not have a Madrigal map from the first episodes big action sequence? How did they not have armor pieces from all the new Spartans on the show? It's unfathomable.

I enjoyed my time with it. I played like 50 hours and felt done.

But I'm not the audience for these GAAS type stuff I guess. I don't want to play the same game constantly for years. I still enjoyed Halo Infinite more than Destiny, Anthem, Avengers etc. and more than any multiplayer FPS in a really long time. But I got what I wanted it and even if they 'fix' what the current problems are I doubt I'll hop back in anytime soon as I'm done with competitive play.

I'll hop back in when they add some new campaigns and maybe some coop stuff.

I have gamepass (PC) and played the campaign and thought it was great.

The campaign is great, but the lack of co-op is a huge deal to me. And they need to add a level select too.

Multiplayer is good, but it desperately needs more content. Forge will be nice, but that may still be a while out. And a Custom Games Browser might be even further out than that.

Yeah this is probably the most blatant example of just how incompetent 343 and Halo is right now. Fortnite is out promoting shit not even related to it all the time, and Halo cant even do the absolute bare minimum promotions with its own TV show.

Halo Infinite got a lot of easy nostalgia points by looking so much like Halo CE. Shame it wasted those good graces.
