I can't tell whether these are just crazy acts of desperation made by terrified Russian soldiers thrown into battle with no training into a losing fight or whether commanders have been given explicit instructions to commit as many atrocities as possible. If I didn't know any better I would say this is some warped plan to so alienate Russia from the West that even with a peace treaty they would have no choice but to remain an enemy.

Russia has been accused by Ukraine of using children as human shields while regrouping its forces, as the first horrifying witness accounts from the newly liberated town of Bucha, near Kyiv, emerge.

Coaches of children were said to have been placed in front of tanks in the village of Novyi Bykiv, close to the encircled city of Chernihiv, 100 miles north of Kyiv.

It was further alleged that children had been taken as hostages in a number of conflict hot spots around the country to ensure locals would not give the coordinates of the enemys movements to the Ukrainian forces.

Bucha sounds like a horror story. Human shields, landmines and IEDs all over the place, mass graves, bodies of civilians everywhere that were tied up and shot, and there are stories that the Russians attempted to execute all the men in the city as they fled.

There is no reason not to believe this. Russia has been doing so much fucked up shit already.

At this point the world needs to quit playing the diplomatic shit and just reduce Putin and Russia to ashes. China and India want to buddy up with them so they need to be checked too.
