In March 2020, the vibe was kind of "maybe we shouldn't do it this year" and so nobody did it.

Then not many people came back to it in 2021.

Now barely anyone came back to it in 2022.

Kind of sad.

Maybe people just... Realized it was kinda childish and grew away from it?

The whole world has been in a pretty dark place these last few years and people have other priorities now.

And don't forget how easily offended people are nowadays by jokes and such, so more people don't want to risk pissing someone off for a silly joke.

I think we need to joke and laugh at stupid shit sometimes because we need that in order to cope with our mundane lives.
Maybe we should all ease up and don't get overly upset for a maybe slightly offensive joke.

It's just a joke man, most people are probably going to forget it a few minutes later and move on to something else anyway.

April fools day never really was a thing until the internet. Then it just became a day where people might post some funny videos or be annoying.

I personally don't understand why it's still a thing.

Many were fooled into thinking the pandemic was over, so there's that.

It is mostly for vaccinated people.

Unvaccinated lessers are still clogging up the hospital system but we can't do anything about that.
