If you are wanting to BUILD muscle, you need to eat a caloric surplus.

If you are wanting to LOSE WEIGHT, you need to eat a caloric deficit.

I would imagine youd lose weight pretty effectively only eating a cup of yogurt a few times a day. Building muscle will stall pretty quickly though.

Eat about as many calories as normal, but replace 1 of your daily meals with protein + vegetables.

So replace your weekly Burritos with chicken +Broccoli. Or your weekly spaghetti with steak + beans

On a regular caloric deficit youll see some noob strength gains, and maybe some muscle composition change. However, you wont be able to build muscle

Thats just on a regular calorie deficit though. With your calorie intake THAT low, youll start catabolizing whatever muscle you do have before you build any.

Its probably best to consume something high in carbs and fiber to keep you full. Your stomach is going to be growling nonstop on a yogurt-only diet.

Do you want to lose weight and build muscle or are you looking to get thinner and build muscle because the first thing isn't really going to happen. But if you work towards building muscle while being over weight you'll naturally thin out more as you keep going through your routines while at the same time building the muscle you want.

So... This is probably a stupid question, but you are going to eat other food throughout the day right? It's not just going to be yogurt as your only food? Because that would not be good for you.
