The majority of my favorite media since I was a child has been heavy in sarcastic humor. Yet Ive seen Brits saying this online and to my face.

My last group of British friends told me I was the most British American theyd ever met because I was extremely sarcastic all the time.

So what gives huh?

Particularly from The North East. NYS in particular.

Sarcasm may not be the right word but the confused comments from people who didn't understand The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window was pretty funny.

In some states, that's basically the local language.

What many Americans (and some other parts of the globe) might not get the point of is British levels of sarcasm. It can be in excess...like crates of tea.

Theres a difference between doesnt get sarcasm and doesnt expect the sheer amount of sarcasm that is coming tho. IJS
