If he'd have just ignored it like an adult, nobody would have noticed, but all he ended up doing was making a fool of himself and pulling his wife's problem into the limelight, which I'm sure she doesn't appreciate.

I think people have forgotten that during his fresh prince days Will was kind of infamous for being a giant asshole on set. Being the good guy hero in a bunch of action movies might have softened his image, but that doesn't mean that he ever stopped being who he was.

she didn't cheat on him, she had a romantic/sexual relationship with a dude after Will left her, which turned out to be temporary.

as for publicizing it, her talk show thing is full of transparency, from what I understand, where she she her mom she daughter talk about a bunch of topics, and I don't doubt she consulted with Will about it beforehand, or that if he didn't want it to be shared, he couldn't have talked her out of it.

so all of these cuck jokes, even if they're not true, are his fault as well for deciding to go along with it.

I feel you. We'll never know if he felt compelled to confront Chris Rock because of his wife's reaction, or if that composed laughter was a knee-jerk response that turned into how he really felt with or without his wife present.

To be fair, Chris opted to not press charges. So he wasn't going to get cuffed either way.

Plus, Will playing the role of a father who actively raises his children was definitely award-winning given that will had to completely transform into somebody he isn't for the role.

I don't think Chris wants to press charges. He probably just thinks "defending his wife? Eh fair enough" being a comedian Chris has likely dealt with a shit load worse and doesn't think much on this.

I would like to think comedians wouldnt have to deal with physical assault very often for their jokes.

I like Will and Chris so Im torn.

On one hand it was a joke. On the other I think Will is fed up with being everybodys punching bag and labeled as soft or a cuck.

Everyone would probably have forgotten that joke soon after since it wasn't all that memorable.

Now most will remember it forever.

Not just that, hes made himself and his wife open season for all the comics in the world.

Bald women have been called GI Jane literally since the movie came out. It's an extremely overused and low hanging fruit joke at this point and I'm glad Chris Rock finally found that out.
