Part of the problem is that the general public likes to think of covid as a sort of pneumonia or cold, but the actual pathophysiology of covid involves binding vascular receptors. That's why it has a lot of weird sequelae like blood clots, vasculitis, micro-strokes, etc. And unfortunately, those add up over time, especially if you get it again.
