The only other Souls game I've put much time into is Bloodborne, but with that one I hit a wall where I couldn't beat any of the bosses I was at (probably could with more practice, but didn't want to put in the time), but the open world aspect of Elden Ring really helps with that. If I get to a tough part in this, I can just wander off somewhere else and get some more practice and levels. There are still plenty of challenging areas and enemies, but even when I get demolished by a tough boss, I never feel like I'll be stuck for too long. --- The answer to the question nobody asked.
