Increasingly, no. The people that continue to support the right wing parties in the UK (and over in America) are becoming more and more extreme and willing to ignore anything wrong from their side to the point it is beyond frustrating. There's no middle ground in those who are okay with supporting people who want to strip basic rights from people.

I pretty much always have to as I have a mix of political opinions that range from pretty far left to center-ish.

Same. Though depending on if you count gun stuff as right wing then I guess I got a right wing opinion or two. Most things I just don't really care much about

Yeah, pretty easily. I don't really care all that much how anyone else leans politically. I tend to keep mine to myself as well. I don't mind discussing it politely if it comes up, but I won't be the one to bring it up.

If these people are really about that political life and discussion then wouldn't they, I dunno, attend some more genuine and civil place purposely made for these kind of discussions?

It depends, I'll have a lot more respect for someone if they have logical and factual reasons behind their views but if they're the type to cry fake news to any opposing point then I'll openly and relentlessly mock them.

Yes, provided none of their behavior unjustifiably berates, insults, or threatens me and people I care about.

In other words: can they behave themselves? Can they keep their emotions in check like they expect other people to? Or are they a hypocrite with zero accountability and just expects everyone to deal with the casual toxicity? The latter is not worth a damn, never is.

Sometimes I'll cut someone off even when they got legitimate beef with a peer...because they selfishly chose to make a scene at the worst possible time and messed things up for bystanders in my clique. I understand wanting revenge when you feel wronged, but you do not bust up everyone else's good time to call someone out. Not in front of me, you don't. I will fucking release the hounds on you myself. I will help your enemy get the drop on you to teach you a lesson: take it the fuck outside. I will show you I don't need to be your mama to effectively lower that boom.

That includes starting pointless arguments over politics when we're trying to party. You want to have those discussions and I'm the host or I'm driving...then you keep it tame and recognize when to drop it. I've got friends who learned real quick I was not afraid to boot their asses out of a party or dump them 3 miles away from home because they were trying to piss off everyone else in my car.

I make new friends from work, my husband's circle, neighbors, socializing, events, etc.
I don't have to put up with a troublemakers bs. I can just help their rival crush them and make a new friend.

Considering i am middle / not really into politics i can and do get along with anyone politically.
