I'm really loving Yanfei. Have her at 90 with a Sacred Winds, 70/186 CR/CD and she can hit for about 10000 with a CA. And that's with no constellations. Can't wait until she finally appears on a banner I actually want to pull on.

She's the most underrated DPS in the game, IMO. Even Noelle is widely regarded as very good as long as you're willing to pay the high investment cost. Yanfei easily matches Diluc and Klee in DPS, but she's also ranged and synergizes better with Xingqiu than either of them. I can't think of very many situations in which I would use Klee over her.

Any shield counter (C4).
Any stamina drain field, possibly energy drain too.
Any events that drain crit rate.

Cicin, the new mushrooms, husks, spectres, I guess electro lector too.

I appreciate that you defend her and I don't necessarily think you're wrong about anything, but even after I got her to level 90 with 8/8/8 talents and good gear, she just feels so bad to play. I really wish they would redo her animations.

My only problems with Klee are
1.) Burst cancels on group switch (damn it Mihoyo, Klee could have been a top tier support!)
2.) No one in the game can match her pyro application, so she's locked to mono pyro.

And as you can see, both flaws aren't Klee's but rather Mihoyo not implementing optimal teams for her yet (#1 is fixed by implementing a hydro sub-dps nuker like Xiangling, #2 is fixed by making burning stack to very high numbers).
I love her active playstyle so much and I have her C2 so she buffs the whole team. Even better if we get an easily accessible non-selfish DEF shred in the future!

She's actually one of the more future-proof characters out of all pyros if you consider she has a strong kit that can't be fully utilized in teams yet.
Also, any non-pyro defenses get completely torn apart by that crazy pyro application of hers.
Should we get a stamina regeneration character, she could go crazy with charged attacks.

So on a slightly different note, I just tried out Noelle in today's battle event (Side 1) and holy hell she's fucking CRAZY in this event. Her ult is always up because she kills everything so quickly. She actually got a higher score than my Raiden National team because her AOE is so wide and her ult lasts so long.

So this happened, I went hard pity for the first one, got a wolf's gravestone and unforged, then decided for whatever reason to do 2 pulls and got another one.

Basically exactly what I kept saying about overdose (guess it's named intensified now).
Overgrowth sounds extremely awkward, a reaction that only activates on hydro hit to deal dendro damage.
Not reacting to cryo makes it sound very fake.
Not reacting to anemo and geo is absolutely fake, of course it will swirl and crystallize.

Mihoyo would struggle to sell dendro dps units at all if they can't VV swirl.

You know they're not gonna skip an opportunity to sell a character who specifically does this

Why stop at only one character when you can sell more?

Remember players still don't have any alternative to Zhongli to Geo RES down in addition to Geo resonance and that is very much intentional. He also has Anemo RES down that does not need player to get lucky (Jean C4) or fork money (Venti C6). Anemo, an element Geo -has nothing to do with-.

Oh, Xingqiu/Kokomi/Raiden/Yae is just dirty in this stage of the event.

I've been running Yae/Kazuha/Kokomi/ then Venti and Rosie second stage.

And Ive been clearing 2000 points on normal. This event is way too easy.

6/8/10 seems to be the bare minimum for 4xEmblem subdps / hydro applier roles.
But I'm also itching to use her as a dual element main dps someday. So maybe 8/10/10?

Already have almost all of the mats I need (just need purple talent books and lv71-90 weapon), still unsure about the weapon (Sacrificial vs Skyward)

Should I roll for Ayaka? I already have Mistsplitter from the first banner but I didn't really care for her at the time but now I'm in a boring spot waiting for dendro to come out.

I rarely use Ayaka but she has arguably the strongest burst in the game (at C0 at least)

She is super clunky to play as a main DPS though

Ehhhh probably not if you set up Ayaka correctly. Since it's a bunch of individual cryo hits, it makes stuff like Shenhe's buff or reverse vape really crazy.

The highest I ever got with C2 Eula was 500k but that was with an absolutely perfect setup. Usually it was around 200k at best. I can easily top that with Ayaka. That said, now that my Eula is C6, there's no comparison.

Eula has had a bit of a hard time lately because most of the meta has moved to small and medium-sized enemies, and her burst favors super bulky huge boss types.

Current rumor is the next banners will be:
Yelan + Xiao + Noelle/Barbara/Yanfei
Aqua Simulacra + PJWS
and
Itto (alone) + Kuki/?/?
Redhorn + Memory of Dust

Hope Yanfei is there so I can C6 her while I pull Yelan.

I love Xiao but his constellations (C2 to C5) are garbage. His C6 is amazing, but I don't think it's worth that much investment to get.

That weapon banner is seriously high-value though. PJWS is one of the Top 3 polearms in the game for basically everyone who can use it.

Xiao is one of those characters where if you asked me "Is he one of the best DPS characters," I would have a real hard time trying to explain my thoughts.

On the one hand, his raw DPS is very nearly unrivaled when you factor in the lack of reactions.

On the other hand, his niche is pretty easily covered by other AOE melee characters (even if not as well) and he's one of the least versatile characters in the game. He does literally only one thing, and that's it.

For the love of God please let Yanfei be there. I'm not interested in anyone until Dendro but i would love to get her to C6. And I'm at 0 soft pity so it doesn't even matter

While farming for Ayayo's heart of depth I got Ayaya a new Crit DMG crown (blizz strayer)

It seems like overgrown (dendro x hydro reaction) is gonna cause damage to both the enemy AND the player regardless of who triggers it.

It wasn't really clear to me if the explosion damage changed if you got hit with your own reaction, like if you took as much damage as the enemy if you triggered it or if your your own reaction did less damage to you and more to the enemy and vise versa.

While getting oneshot by your own reaction sounds hilarious in theory, it probably wouldn't be in practice...

If the friendly element is the reactant then it gets a different reaction that won't be harmful.

For example if you swirl yourself (like with Jean) you don't take any damage but the swirl reaction spreads to nearby enemies.
