Still some 3DSs kicking around at your local Walmarts? That's quite lucky. Their prices started skyrocketing at least a year back.

I haven't checked yet, I tend to check online first

I don't need a literal 3DS, a 2DS would be ok as long as it's New (well, New as in the model... it can be a used New)

Yeah totally. I just lucked out getting a New 3DS XL (in Canada) before the prices shot up. It was probably 3 years ago, paid somewhere between $200-$300 with a handful of games. I'd love to have a 2nd one and a 2DS XL would be great.

It's great that the little nub stick works with other games that aren't "New" 3DS games, like Dragon Quest VIII. It seems awkward at first, but I got pretty used to it playing Minecraft.

**Note I'm also stoked I got the Galaxy edition because that one really skyrocketed.

Yeah Nintendo quietly discontinued the 3DS in 2020. I was very much considering picking one up when they were still cheap, and I kinda regret that I didn't.

Ok, I'm sure most people like to watch/listen to a little internet when they sleep, right? Well, the 3DS internet browser is the only one where when you listen to a video in high speed (1.3x for example) it up-pitches the sound instead of stuttering it... which is how I like it.

If I could find a way to do that with mods/addons/plugins for regular internet I'd probably use my phone

also the 3DS is ad-free cuz it's too bad to run ads :D

Yup. My circle pad broke off on my 3DS XL. I looked at just getting a new 3DS but holy shit they're way too expensive.

I ended up buying a replacement circle pad. I had to take my 3DS apart to fix it but it works like a charm now. Old one is on the left.
