Japan sounded neat initially, but 1. it's more expensive, and 2. the Ecuador program sounded like it would be a lot more interesting. It feels like it's going to be a lot more hands on with what we're going to do and it covers an important aspect in terms of the media based classes I'm doing. The Japan one was basically just a glorified tour and the whole program is based around psychology. Japan looks like a pretty cool place that I would love to visit one day. We went to Manta and Guayaquil for a few days each and traveled by bus through the mountains. This was 9 years ago but Quito looked really run down in one part and my family's house was like on a steep hill so the balcony had a pretty good view. I scraped my hand on the Andes Mountains while getting out of the car coming back to Quito getting breakfast. No one speaks English in Ecuador so me and my brother always had to rely on my mom or grandmother.
