New price: $1600 Since my new job has a $5,000 IT sign-on bonus (basically a one-time computer / phone / etc) they were going to cover this anyway, but at least now I can get something else. The funny part is that I tried to find a better laptop but I literally couldn't. It's a 165w 3080 16 GB variant... that's the literal best there is. But even at $2,200 it was one of the cheapest I could find with any 3080, let alone a max TDP model (most are like 90w to 115w). It's a honest question about the weight of your new laptop compared to your old one.
