Our first dog we sadly had put down about 22 years ago once appeared in my dream and came out of the woodsy area on our property where we buried him. We played for a little. I've had similar dreams with other former pets, and my dad as well. That beloved pet is still gone and it's so heartbreaking. I remember a dream I had once, in it I came home from work only to be greeted by a cat that has been dead for nearly 10 years and even in the dream I KNEW he was supposed to be dead. Yet there he was, alive and well and all I could do is burst into tears when he leapt into my arms. Woke up shortly after in tears and I had to take a moment to cry to myself when I realized he was still gone.
