Terra is great, Aqua is great, Xehanort is great. Vanitas not so much.

I always like the idea of telling the same story from different perspectives, and all three characters are likable in their own ways.

Playing all three stories of Aqua, Ven and Terra was quite tedious because it made the game feel like 3 mini-RPGs in one. The story is better than the other spin-offs but really feels like a budget version of the mainline games and is admittedly not very good.

Speaking of BBS though, did anyone here beat the Mysterious Figure on the PSP version on Proud or higher? I beat him on Normal once but my god was it like the most BS superboss fight ever. They made him less broken on the 2.5 HD versions so that doesn't count.

Suikoden III doesn't sound anywhere as bad, but I couldn't even enjoy that one.

where I'm at with BBS is that they did a good job with the characters, but also it's ultimately an unnecessary story that didn't really help the narrative of KH at all; it just made it needlessly complicated

if you remember the theories post KH2 and pre-BBS, you'd be hard pressed to say that BBS was the best possible option there

Yep, one of the hardest things I've ever done. And the only strategy was spamming one move a bunch.

Yeah the writing here was like, wow you thought KH2 could have awkward scenes? Try ONLY awkward scenes!

points for tragedy but when you think about it for more than a little you wonder why anything is happening at all. Days is a way better spin off tragic story

Nah, I like alternating viewpoint storytelling, and I don't mind retreading ground in order to get a complete experience using it.

I think that part is overblown. They often get different parts of the world, and most of the bosses are unique. They're also short.
