Not that I like a "big goverment", but if we're paying so much for medicaid, cell phone and internet subsidies among other things then spending on something with potential savings and bettering of the public health shouldnt be a big deal?

Iirc they proposed some kind of tax break or something for people with gym memberships here. Don't think anything ever came of it.

I think that's what it was anyways. You could write off gym payments... if not it was some financial incentive to get people going to the gym.

Public-private partnerships like that are grifts for the benefit of the private half.
There should be freely-available communal exercise areas funded by the government for public benefit and enjoyment, controlled by local communities.

My health insurance covers it up to a certain amount - I still don't use it though...It's enough for a single months membership though.
