I didnt play Shenmue until later

The first I heard of it was on G4, the show Filter had it on the best Dreamcast games list and the worst games ever list IIRC. I was like wtf?? And I played it a few years later

I would show them a screenshot of Shenmue 3 instead and they'd just be like wow hasn't really changed much

My goal would be to blow their mind

I remember reacting to PS2 level graphics back then so it seems weird to me when using the word "they."

I remember looking at CGI artwork in manuals and also CGI cutscenes, thinking "one day in the future, games will look like that"

And actually now, we are beyond that.

Makes you really appreciate what you have.
