That's good, even Russia is saying they're against Putin's BS at this point.

CNN was saying earlier these protests aren't very big compared to the Crimea ones. Putin apparently has been locking things down even more since then. I hope they're wrong, though.

People tend not to differentiate between a foreign country's government and its people. It's one of those weird fallacies where we think people in our own country can think for themselves and people in other countries blindly follow what the leader tells them.

Good on these protestors. It's sad that so many of them are being arrested for calling the government out on its bullshit.

True.. a while back (well decades really) the US had enough manpower/resources to fight 2.5 external campaigns

i fear for these citizens lives, huge chance theyll be arrested and worse for disagreeing with Putin.

The police are stomping hard on this but the sheer fact it's happening at all (and 150 Russian officials are openly opposing Putin on this) is a good sign.

Yup. Same mentality as negative or weird things being considered just isolated incidents or weird things in their own country but negative/weird things speaks for everyone in a foreign country.

Times like this are when social media is truly great even with its flaws. When it comes to stuff like this, its very hard to suppress what really happens in your country. War propaganda isnt easy to control like back in the day. We get to see what your regular citizen thinks of what the government does with video proof of it

i don't wish death on anyone but if something happened to Putin, i wouldn't shed a single tear for him, just saying...

They need to go all in as they will be disappeared along with their family for going against Putin. Guns and actual weapons need to be used as they will not be shown any mercy by Putin or his underlings.
