Gas prices, war, and inflation always suck and yet Republicans only get loud about them when the other team is in the White House. --- http://card.psnprofiles.com/1/NIR_Hockey.png http://www.last.fm/user/hockeybub89/ ... Copied to Clipboard!

Atralis posted... Keystone XL being shut down will end up increasing gas prices down the line but its not having a huge impact right now and wouldn't have a huge impact even if it had been finished. I think I read that the Keystone XL pipeline would of brought in 900,000 barrels of Canadian tar sand oil to Texas refineries. That type of crude is the dirtiest and most expensive to refine. Obviously, it would have helped the supply of gasoline but in reality, it probably would of only made a few cents difference at the pump. Now, you could argue that oil companies aren't expanding and investing in new oil exploration under the Biden administration in an effort to "go green". Cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline might not have made much a difference but it was definitely a symbolic gesture that could of stifled supply. However, to my knowledge the Biden administration hasn't passed any sweeping environmental legislation that would slow oil production (and dramatically raise prices). So it's still basically all on the oil companies just not keeping up with demand. ... Copied to Clipboard!
