Never played it, wondering if it's worth it on the Switch. For reference, I like every Zelda except BotW.

It got problems, but it's still a blast to play.

Extremely mixed bag. I enjoy it on the whole, but stuff like the lategame padding and empty, boring sky are pretty indefensible.

i liked it when it launched, it had the best motion combat on the wii that i had ever tried and the story was interesting. also just love fi, annoying hand holding and all. but its hard to ignore the fact you pretty much replay the same 4 sections over and over.

I'd say the main thing that determines whether you'll like the game is what your thoughts on motion controls are. Well, I guess if you're on switch you don't have to use them anymore(??) but it's clear that a significant amount of the game is designed in such a way that the main interesting part about it is the motion controls. lots of enemies are basically just about swinging in the right direction. lots of puzzles/movement involve steering stuff by tilting the controller, or holding your sword in a certain position, or etc. If you don't like motion controls, or don't use the motion controls, not a lot really stands out about the game imo

it has a lot of really cool setpieces in terms of area aesthetics, music, and so on. I enjoyed this part of it, as well as seeing bits of zelda lore/references come together, but overall ended up not super fond of the game. mostly because it's not very challenging in terms of puzzles or combat so it requires very little engagement or thought at any time. dunno how much of a negative that is to you (or maybe even a positive?) but personaly I feel like I would have gotten basically the same quality of exprience just watching someone else play it

Its the worst Zelda game, but even the worst Zelda game isnt a train wreck (CDI not counting).

It's fine. Not my favorite Zelda by any means, but I think it has some well-designed puzzles and dungeons.

I played it for the first time earlier this month on Switch.

It has problems, but it's mostly good. Might be the weakest mainline entry, but it's still good. I enjoyed it

On top of being easily the worst 3d zelda game by a landslide. It was a bad game overall in my opinion, every flaw of other entry's and then some cranked to 11.
