He gets released and falls in love with Harelyquin (in the game the relationship dynamic is inverted so he is the obsessed lover and Harely is the one who doesn't care) ~~Harely starts pulling him towards a life of crime and you have the option to either beat the shit out of him or take him on as a partner in crime fighting.~~ ~~If you do the former he becomes generic Joker boring villain~~ ~~If you do the latter he tries to become a hero but fails to understand why Batman doesn't kill people who are objectively horrible and doing bad things to the world (I.E, Amanda Waller)~~ This lack of logic from Batman drives him insane and they get into a fight. Batman wins and takes him back to Arkham but continues to visit him as Bruce and the implication is he can actually be reformed with the help of legitimate human contact and bonding.
